process of Commissions

I am an artist with my own style and artistic eye. I love bringing your pet to life through my eyes! The more I am subjected to client input the less I am able to produce a quality piece. My brain just doesn't work that way! 

Therefore, if you'd like to have a commission of your pet, please understand I will make the artistic choices of the piece. Some choices, such as specific medium to use, specific reference photo to use, detailed collars or accessories on pet and whether to include them, for example, are things I will choose. You will be able to approve the pencil draft which will show you positioning and choice of reference photo. That will be your time to request adjustments before I start to fully create the piece. 

A deposit of 20% is required to get on the commission list. I will only take deposits for at most 3 art pieces. There is a wait list you can join at any time, and I will let you know your position in the wait list. Once your spot becomes available, I will reach out to you. If I do not hear back in a reasonable amount of time, I will continue down the list.

Once I begin on your piece, I will need a decently sized set of various photos (10 or so) with various angles, lighting, depths, etc. The more for me to look at the better! And let's be real, your phone is FULL of those pet pictures...isn't it?
