Pyrographer & pencil artist
I've always loved art and putting pencil to paper. I've been drawing since 2nd grade. I am autistic and was born with two gifts, mathematics and an artist's eye. I am a statistical programmer by day as well as a consulting statistician. On the side, I create artwork every chance I get (between being a full time working mom of a blended family of 4 kids). I am not formally trained and only self-taught. I am also a public autism advocate in the workplace.
My start in art was in grade school with drawing comics with pencil only. Through my teenage and early 20's I focused mainly on drawing manga using colored pencils. In my 30s I moved into pyrography and after 3 years doing only pyrography pieces I began to incorporate my color pencil work into my pyrography. This is where I began to work on fully colored pet pieces in particular.
